On the next images, I will discuss with you some decisions I made from beginning to end for this project. :)

1- First, I have made little thumbnail sketches. Very rough, tried to just capture the gesture and overall shape composition. I chose the ones that had more potential to me.

2- Took the best rough sketches and developed them a little bit more. Made the drawing clearer and blocked some very simple flat values. My choice was between C and D; ended up with D, because it had a more ethereal and delicate feeling to it.

3- Then I proceeded to the lineart. Tried to make it clean and very finished, so it'd be easier to play with colors and light. I'm still experimenting all the time new kinds of "lineart", i'd say this is a little rougher than some recent projects.

4- Blocked in the middle values from the piece. I really like to add color variation right in the beginning, kinda opens my mind to color combinations. I didn't do color tests this time, because i was going for a very specific twillight/night mood.

5- I have modeled my middle tones here. Focused more on shadows to get those forms!

6- I added more contrast and value hierarchy in that step. Also, I have finished to solve background things like clouds and stars. I'd say that at this step, I have a very strong base to start rendering. It is already very solid, render won't take long.

7- And here is the finished image! It's important to structure well your image before making small and tiny details. I just focused on small issues for rendering.
